Facts & Figures - An Art Book by Matt Johnson
When I set out to create Facts & Figures, it wasn't originally my own idea. Many people had approached me over the years wondering why I hadn't put my work together into a single volume. Quite frankly, I hadn't done it because I didn't really see the value it would have, and I didn't think my work was good enough.
Eventually I started writing down my thoughts on being productive and perseverance as an artist, also with no intentions of creating a book. Many people would ask me questions about how I got started, how I kept at it, and how I ended up where I am today.
Eventually the piles of artwork stacked up against the piles of thoughts scribbled on this and that sheet of paper, and viola, Facts & Figures was born. This is my humble attempt at creating a book worthy of thumbing through or keeping around to share with friends and family. Or if I'm lucky, you're an aspiring artist looking for some motivation to press onward.
Whatever your purpose for having it, Facts & Figures made me proud of what I'd accomplished so far and taught me that I have so much further to go. I hope that it inspires you and that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together!
