Matt Johnson Graphic/Visual Design

 

Every job I've had since sometime during college has involved some level of design work.

 

Whether it be favors for non-profits, or monstrous tasks like the interior design of a Lounge/Tattoo Studio for the Mirage Hotel and Casino, I've done all types of design for all types of people.

 

My biggest goal when designing is to truly get out of the way and let the content and the client be heard.

 

If the information is clear and concise, while achieving the client's goals, my job is done. It doesn't matter how much Photoshop or Illustrator prowess I have - the goal isn't to be the best at using software, the goal is to convey messages clearly and effectively, and hopefully do so in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

 

Design is about facilitating. It combines my tastes and goals with the tastes and goals of other people, which I love. I think the variety and surprise that comes from that is evidenced by my work in this small collection.
