Matt Johnson Art and Illustration
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawing and creating art. I began using computers in high school as the "responsible decision" for a vocation.
Alas, true passions will always find their way.
I began making art in programs like Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and Bryce 3d.
It wasn't until college that I decided on a formal education in art, where I attended Huntingdon College.
After college, I continued to study the figure and digital painting, taking classical drawing classes with the legendary Barrett Bailey, and digital painting classes from the world-renowned concept artist Bobby Chiu at Imaginism Studios.
I can confidently say that I have learned from the best, and continue to learn every day.
My art is more of a question, "What can I accomplish when I try?" which is why there is so much diversity in my portfolio.
I like to think that this keeps me flexible and adaptable, while at the same time allowing me to constantly improve my skills.
I'm not sure what my big dream is with art, whether it be children's illustration, concept art, or traditional figure drawing, but I know that one fact is irrefutable - I'd be insane without the pursuit of art, and I will never stop.
